Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a Web Affiliate?
Read over The Ahuma Institute Affiliate Agreement and Approval Standards. Submit your application. (Note: Application cannot be accessed until you accept the terms of the Agreement). Once your application has been processed, you will receive instructions by email that explain how to promote our programs.
How do you track sales?
The Ahuma Institute provides our affiliate partners URLs (links) for our website and products that include special tracking codes so we know which affiliate referred traffic and sales to us. These codes are necessary to track referral sales, click-throughs, and commissions. These statistics are available online 24 hours a day for all of our affiliate partners.
How long does it take for a sale to be recorded?
A sale will not be reflected in your account until approximately one business day from the time it was shipped. For example, if an order was placed on Tuesday, then shipped on Wednesday, it will not be recorded as a sale in your account until Thursday. Many of our products are virtual or digital products that ship immediately, so you will see commissions in your account within one day of the sale.
Can I log-in for stats through AhumaInstitute.com?
Once approved as an affiliate, you can log-in via our web interface above. Please note that through our log-in you can only access stats for sales made at smartsoul.com, smartsoulacademy.com, theahumainstitute.com, powermanifestation.com and theinternalguidancesystem.com, and will only reflect sales made utilizing our tracking system.
How many products can I display on my site?
You may display as many products and images as you like from the choices available from The Ahuma Institute, once you have been approved as an affiliate. However, you may not attempt to duplicate our product pages in any way.
Can I include product pricing info on my site?
No. Product prices are subject to change. Displaying inaccurate pricing information runs the risk of causing customer dissatisfaction.
How often will I get paid commission?
The payout cycle is 60 days after a sale has occurred. This allows for our 30 day return policy to be accounted for. We then send commission checks monthly on the 20th of each month based this 60 day sales criteria.
I lost my password, where can I retrieve it?
No problem. Simply go to the forget password area, at the following web link and enter your email address, and hit 'submit'. You will receive a response shortly thereafter.

Will I get paid on every sale coming through my links, or just on first-time customers?
You will be paid for all orders that were referred through your site. Our program will pay you commissions for all sales for 365 days from any new customer that comes directly from a URL that includes your affiliate tracking code.
Can I include mention of my affiliation with The Ahuma Institute or Zen DeBrucke in any promotional literature?
Before including mention of The Ahuma Institute or Zen DeBrucke in any promotional literature, we need to see a preview or draft of any copy at least thirty (30) business days before its use. We will then notify you in writing whether or not your request has been approved. Until approval has been granted, you are not permitted to use our name, logos, etc., except as outlined in the affiliate agreement.
Can I change or personalize the graphics or banners provided by The Ahuma Institute?
No. It is not permissible to change or personalize any of our images. You can, however, borrow text from our website or emails IF and ONLY IF we provide written pre-approval.
Can I use any of your names (The Ahuma Institute, Zen DeBrucke, Smart Soul, Smart Soul Academy, The Internal Guidance System, Power Manifestation) in my URL or in the name of my site?
No. The use of our names or any variation thereof in your URL or in the name of your site will be cause for your immediate dismissal from the affiliate program. In such a case when you breach the affiliate agreement, you thereby forfeit any earned commissions. The only exception to this is that you may use common words such as "manifestation" independently, but not in the combinations shown above.
What kind of advertising can I do?
Reach out to others by writing a newsletter. Use testimonials about The Ahuma Institute, write an article. Remember, you can use the copy from our websites. You will need written approval from The Ahuma Institute to purchase advertising for our product anywhere online or offline - except search engine marketing which is allowed.
Can I bid on brand?
We do allow search engine marketing bidding on our brand names or variations of our brands. If you want to purchase pay-per-click ads on search engines such as Google or Yahoo, that is allowed, but you cannot use our URLs in your ad or represent yourself as part of The Ahuma Institute.
Can I use incentives in offers?
We do not allow incentives in offers unless they are approved in writing by The Ahuma Institute in advance. We reserve the right to revoke approval at any time.
What kind of advertising is prohibited?
You cannot send unsolicited email (aka spam) in any way. There will be no clemency in cases of unsolicited email, and affiliates in violation of this policy will forfeit their commissions and be removed from the program. If you are reported as violating this policy it will be considered a violation and we will dismiss you from the program.
Can I issue a press release or other kind of announcement regarding my affiliation with The Ahuma Institute?
Yes, but with only with The Ahuma Institute's prior written consent, prior to mailing the press release, emails or any direct mail solicitation.
Why do I have to provide my social security number or Tax Payer ID?
We need this information for tax filing purposes. We need your Social Security Number or Tax Payer ID, because if your calendar-year commissions exceed $600, The Ahuma Institute must issue you a Form 1099MISC at the end of the calendar year that must be filed with Form 1040.

Affiliate Application Standards
We ask that our affiliate sites maintain a clean, uncluttered look and feel. Sites must be aesthetically pleasing.
We prefer your website have a minimum of 3000 Site Visitors per month. Most levels of traffic below this standard make it difficult for a revenue-share relationship to work for you, the affiliate. We will gladly make exceptions for new sites that have yet to officially launch.
Strong Preference for the following categories of Affiliates:
- Arts
- Business
- Education
- Health
- Kids and Teens
Although we will consider affiliate applicants in other categories, the preceding categories have the best chance of being successful based on our target market. New web sites falling into one of these categories are strongly encouraged to apply.
Our experience has shown that personal home pages do not generate enough traffic and visitors to make a revenue-share relationship profitable and worthwhile for either party. We'd rather avoid a situation where a personal home page affiliate has worked hard to build The Ahuma Institute into their site, only to encounter disappointing results.
We do reserve the right to refuse a site if it contains objectionable material including pornography, explicit language or content, or support for violent groups.
We do allow search engine marketing bidding on our brand names or variations of our brands.
We do NOT allow registration of domain names that include our brand or are similar to our brand.
Your commission is paid on Net Sales resulting from Qualifying Orders. (Refunds are subtracted - although we've never had a request for one since this page was written.)
"Qualifying Order" means a bone-fide order that a purchaser submits via the shopping cart on our websites listed above in which he or she is delivered by your link nor tagged by your affiliate ID previously from your link.
"Net Sales" means the selling price of The Ahuma Institute's merchandise (not counting sales tax, shipping and handling charges, or other separately itemized special charges, such as insurance) specified in a Qualifying Order, less Deductions.
"Deductions" means the selling price of The Ahuma Institute merchandise that a customer returns, cancellation by the customer, cancellation by The Ahuma Institute, disapproval by the Payment Source, or that the Payment Source charges back. Deductions also include such negative or positive amounts as are necessary to adjust for errors in the Qualifying Order, such as duplicate submission or inaccurate price that The Ahuma Institute order processors or customer service personnel correct with customer consent or at the customer's request.
"Payment Source" means the credit card issuer or other payment means designated by the purchaser in the Qualifying Order. Sometimes the Payment Source will refuse to approve a Qualifying Order for payment because an invalid card number has been given, the order price exceeds the purchaser's credit limit, or the order appears suspicious. In the case of stolen credit card numbers, the Payment Source that initially approved an order may reverse the charges when the actual cardholder complains about a bill.
Under the currently used technology, we will place a cookie on the end-user's computer as he/she is delivered from your link to The Ahuma Institute's Website(s), to identify your Website as the delivering source when an order is placed in our shopping cart. Therefore, if the end-user returns to the The Ahuma Institute Website and places an order while your cookie remains active, the tracking software will treat this as a Qualifying Order.
Sometimes merchandise will be out of stock when a Qualifying Order is received, or will be manufactured to order, so shipment or approval by the Payment Source may be delayed, or an order may be canceled.
You should check your account at least monthly and promptly notify The Ahuma Institute if you believe there are errors in the calculation of commissions we owe you or deductions that we have taken. You will waive the right to contest any underlying calculation 90 days after a payment is made to you.
You will not receive a commission if the end-user orders by telephone or fax.
The Ahuma Institute reserves the right to refuse any site, especially if it contains unsuitable material. Web sites that would violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right; encourage illegal activity or racism; or feature hard liquor, tobacco products, gambling, or materials, products, or services related to pornography will be deemed unacceptable for the The Ahuma Institute Affiliate Program.
We reserve the right to change the technology we employ to calculate commissions owed to you.
The terms of our affiliate program are subject to revision at any time without notice. We will post any changes to our website. It is your responsibility to remain in compliance with the program at all times.
